These occupancy sensors can be categorized into three types - manual, partial, and full ON devices. In most commercial buildings, the energy codes need a manual or partial-ON operation. The Manual-ON sensors, also termed vacancy sensors, need the occupant of the space or room manually switch off the appliances.
